A Game Changer
In most cases a loss would bring a team down, but that’s not the case for Francis Howell Central’s “Varsity” Football Team. On Sept. 4, they played Fort Zumwalt South in a game of tug-o-war. In the end, they lost with a final score of 42-20, but that didn’t stop them from keeping their heads held high, as team player Noah McKinney said,
“I think everyone played hard despite a lot of things going against us all game. We kept our heads up and played through it” McKinney said, “Everyone on the team is brought in no matter what’s going on and we continue to keep grinding.”
The team keeps these encouraging words with them as they continue with their season. You can see the Spartans play next on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Troy Buchanan High School.
