Freshman football struggled to play cohesively on Monday, Oct. 12th. They lost to their rivals at Francis Howell High with a final score of 6-54. The backup tackle for the offensive line, Cody Phillips, thought that the team could have put in more effort overall.
“Some of us didn’t put 100% effort in 110% of the time,” Phillips said. “Others put 120% effort in and did their jobs… [but] we’re only as strong as our weakest link.”
Freshman Football hopes to fix their mindset and challenge themselves for their next away game on Monday, Oct. 26th against Washington Highschool at 5pm.
