Touchdown Tradition

One of the best yearly traditions that everyone looks forward to before every homecoming is of course the powderpuff game. It gives everyone a chance to participate in something not just competitive, but also amusing. Junior Remington Layfield was able to be a part of the Powderpuff team this year and only had great things to say about the game on Sept 28th.

“I love cheering for people and dressing up for the theme in the locker room,” Layfield says, “Even when sometimes we take it seriously, we are still always having fun.”

With a great attitude toward the game, Remington and her junior team came out on top beating the seniors 14 to 0. On the other side of the field, the freshmen and sophomores played one another in a close game of 14 to 7, the sophomores barely beating out the freshmen. Although this tradition only happens once a year, it still continues with excitement building more and more each year.
