To honor one of the students at Francis Howell Central battling leukemia, the basketball teams showed efforts to acknowledge the students struggle by hosting an orange out basketball game. Students, players, and teachers showed up and showed full support by dressing in all orange for the game. The girls JV team played a vigorous match against the Liberty Eagles fighting for points. The Spartans won the game 24-23. Freshman Adrienne Winters talks more about the team’s ways of staying positive and energetic during difficult moments.
“Just like doing our chants and stuff and just encouraging our teammates even though the other team might be ahead,” Winters said.
The girls next game is versus Timberland highschool on March, 2
