With a rocky start in the boys’ tennis match against Francis Howell North, many players were paired with new doubles partners on April 2. For this match, seniors were moved up to play a varsity match before they graduate, and senior Dimitry Babey had his first match with a new doubles partner.
“We spent some time getting used to each other, but once we started communicating better, we had some really awesome smackdowns and volleys,” said Babey. “I think we did really well, and I wish I had started playing with Jacob [Milliken] sooner.”
With fewer matches left in their season, the tennis team is preparing for its next pair-up against Liberty on April 21 at Liberty High School at 3:30 PM.
