Fighting Until the End
The girls’ varsity basketball team faced off against Fort Zumwalt South on Tuesday, Dec. 13th. Despite the score remaining close throughout the whole game, FHC ended up losing with a final score of 51-49. Senior Maria Trupiano talks about the team’s headspace going into the game and how it changed as the game unfolded.
“We knew it was gonna be a tough game. [But] it never really felt like we were gonna lose, we always had that confidence that we were still in it,” says Trupiano, “So we didn’t give up even though, obviously in the end, they kind of pulled ahead. I was a little disappointed in the loss.”
Be sure to support the team as the season continues. Their next game will be on Jan. 5th at Timberland High.
