After a hot match, the girls’ Junior Varsity tennis team was able to pull through a win with a score of 6-3. The match on Sept. 13 against Fort Zumwalt East contained a lot of teamwork since the girls were playing as doubles. Freshman Sarah Turner describes the team’s dynamic and how having a partner in this sport can be very beneficial in the mental aspect.
“Over the season, we have gotten to know each other a lot better,” Turner claims. “When I get frustrated and start messing up more, my partner will comfort me and help me stay focused on the match.”
Although the girl’s tennis season is over this year, they will continue to work hard in order to improve their skills for next season. All girls’ tennis fans can look forward to a bigger and better season next year in the fall.
