Sprinting away from a St. Dominic player who is directly behind her, sophomore Kaitlyn Jones pushes forward, unfazed by the shoulder check on April 23. Jones’ determination to keep the ball going to St. Dominic’s goal was stronger than any girl could knock down.

 

Girls lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the region, and was seen clearly at the JV game on April 23 against St. Dominic with no shortage of players. The JV team lost with a score of 14-2, with the gap happening earlier in the game. Despite this, the Spartans did not give up like most teams would; instead, they continued in their pursuit to win.

Their next game will be held May 1 at home against Clayton at 4:15pm.
