Chick-fil-A campers awarded with sandwiches for a year
On April 13, 2011, a crowd gathered at the newly established St. Peters Chick-fil-A on Mid Rivers Mall Drive. It began to gather on Wednesday morning around 6 a.m. in preparation for the Thursday 5:30 a.m. opening. The first people to arrive there would be entered in a raffle to win one free chicken sandwich every week for a year. The 100 people that were drawn from the raffle were able to enter the store and stay there until the opening. Chick-fil-A even fed them meals throughout the day since they were not allowed to leave.
“It was my little senior skip day since I did not participate in the original one,” senior participant Allie Corrier said. “It is an experience that everyone should go through; it isn’t just about the food. You stay around a little campsite and make new friends. It was a fun experience.”
