On May 13, Kyle Goughenour swung his bat at the pitch from Fort Zumwalt East. Pivoting his hips, Goughenour creates power through his body for a double.
Breaking a school record, the Spartan JV baseball team won its 20th game on May 13, giving them a record of winning 20 out of 25 games. Closing out their season, the team faced Fort Zumwalt East and won with a score of 8-1. Pitching all seven innings, junior Matt Luczkowski was a pivotal point in the win. Luczkowski has a plan to prepare for his upcoming and final baseball season.
“Basically, just lift three to four times a week and throw hard. If it’s anything like this season, we’ll be just fine,” said Luczkowski.
