Communication means community. As a country, culture is a foundational element to further understanding our peers and to gaining an enhanced perspective of life. The only wall that blocks the fusion between diverse cultures, is differing languages. Languages have the ability to bring groups of people closer together and offer a bridge to an entirely new group of people.
Learning languages is crucial to becoming knowledgeable and capable of respecting others who have various traditions or ways of life. FHC provides three language courses for students to take, Spanish, French, and German, allowing students to explore deeper into other countries’ way of life. Many students are from a wide array of cultures, letting them share personal experiences to educate others.
Moreover, taking language classes can improve and create valuable social skills and workplace skills on top of that. Many students are interested in travel, and these classes can help with making those trips easier and more enjoyable. Lifelong benefits are achievable from merely trialing a few years of language class.
