Band gets the ball rolling

Slowly and has adjusted to the high pace rhythm of high school. With those adjustments previews have been performed and competition pieces are being perfected.

On Sept. 8 at 7p.m. Francis Howell Central hosted the annual Howell Preview, an event that involves all three schools in the Francis Howell District performing their shows for the 2011 season. Mr. Nathan Griffin. “We had a beautiful evening and all three Howell schools did very well.”

Along with the preview, on Sept. 10 at 8:15p.m. the band had its first competition at O’Fallon Township High School in O’Fallon Illinois.

According to Griffin did extremely well, for the band placed third in their class, which happens to be the biggest class. Along with that victory, the drum line also placed third and guard placed second.

“I’m extremely pleased with how the night went,” said Griffin.
