Juniors down seniors for powderpuff win
High scoring game ends with 35-21 win for class of 2017
On Thursday, Sept. 24 the freshmen and juniors defeated the sophomores and seniors in the powderpuff football game. Freshmen defeated the sophomores 7-0, scoring in the second half and held the sophomores the rest of the game for the victory. The juniors and seniors were scoring back to back, but then the juniors really started to play hard and got the victory 35-21.
Sophomore Payton Frick was furious about losing the powderpuff game. Frick took the game very serious and really wanted to win. She wasn’t so happy about some of the calls by the referees and some things said by the freshmen team.
“The game was intense,” Frick said. “Rumor has it that the underclassmen were set to win because the school was trying to change things up.”
