Ultimate Spartans receive awards

Wednesday, Feb. 1, before the start of the basketball game, Activities Director Scott Harris took the court with some cheerleaders to present the Ultimate Spartan Award to fall athletes who obtained the highest GPA on their team.

“We value high academic achievement here at FHC and these young athletes have shown academic excellence,” Harris said.

This game was the last home basketball game for the boys basketball team before senior night which is Friday, Feb. 10. Other activities, such as the Sensations, have a string of events ahead of them.

This weekend, the Sensations are taking their show to Florida for nationals, and according senior Danielle Grieve, are excited to compete.

“We’re stoked for the competition,” Grieve said. “This is my third year coming down here to compete.”

Spring sports are just around the corner, starting on Feb. 27 and this season will bring with it four new sports. This season will keep coach Harris busy.

“The beginning of each season is always busy,” Harris said. “We always have to line up details in the schedules.”
