With a rocky start to the game, the boys’ varsity soccer team left the crowd in suspense with a last-minute goal. Ensuring the game on Sept. 19 against the Timberland Wolves, was not a shutout despite their overall loss 3-1. Junior Adam Doria explained how even one goal can help boost the team’s outlook and make sure they all keep a positive mindset.
“We didn’t get shut out, you know, so that was better than if we actually lost 3-0,” Doria said. “The goal kind of boosted the team morale, and then that helped us gain momentum and win the next game after that.”
Despite the loss, the boys are determined to keep a positive outlook and momentum for their future games. Including their upcoming home game against Francis Howell North on Oct. 3.
