Throughout a very close game, the boys varsity soccer team eventually left the audience in tatters after the opposing team’s goal within the last two minutes of the game. The game against the Marquette Mustangs on Oct. 25 was a loss for the Spartans after a well-fought battle. Sophomore Tyler Forbush explains how after close games the team goes over its strategies and how to ensure next time they can come out on top.
“They scored last minute because when the center back went up high then there was a gap in the middle for the counterattack to go down,” Forbush explained, “It was back and forth the whole time and a very close game.”
The boys worked hard throughout their entire season and played their best. However, after a difficult season, the boys finally retired their cleats for the rest of the year after their last game against St. Louis University High School on Nov. 2.
