Board elections approaching

On April 5, the Board of Education will have three open seats. A vote shall be cast in order to fill the opening seats. Incumbents Mike Hoehn, Mike Sommer and Mark Lafata could possibly be vacating their seats; all three are up for reelection, along with new runners such as Ronnie Johnson, Eric Seider, Eric Ewalt, Burt Biermann, Gary Miller and Dale Dickmann. Dickmann has since withdrawn from the running.

Sommer is currently president of the board. Hoehn currently works as treasurer. Lafata is currently a director and has served the highest number of consecutive terms; he has also previously served as president. Those elected will serve a three year term.

There will be a “Meet the Canidates” night on March 10 from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the Board Room of the District Administration Building.
