After rebuilding the team last season, the boys basketball team is prepared for games yet to come. With experienced players on the team, and at least two hours of practice after school every day, Coach Larry Anders feels that the team can do well this season.
The goal this year is to win the Conference Championship and a district championship. To do this, the players practice every day after school for two hours.
“In order to do this, we will practice [a variety of drills] because what we do at practice, we do in games,” Anders said.
Sophomore Terryl Curry, the top scorer from the previous junior varsity team, is now on the varsity team and will start as one of the guards. Senior Matt Lundberg will also be in the starting five lineup. According to Anders, the team has a lot to look forward to this upcoming season.
