Whether it’s swimming and diving, wrestling, or basketball, the winter sport season is quickly coming to an end.. All sports have games coming up that determine if they qualify and move up to state, or ending their season. On Feb. 27 at Francis Howell Central, the boys varsity basketball team went up against FHN for the district game and won with a score of 82-54. Furthermore, after the boys varsity basketball team accomplished their victory, it resulted in securing them a place in districts against other teams in the district bracket matches. However, if they win their next 2 games, it qualifies them for state in hopes they secure the victory as they have had a comeback season this year. Specifically, seniors last year were able to share the last memories and shots on the court. Senior Jakari Reddin depicts how it’s his last year playing basketball at FHC and Reddin will miss building the bonds and sharing it with his teammates he has created since freshman year in the basketball program.
“One thing I will miss about my season is building the bonds and how they have created strong relationships with my team, as it’s really important off and on the court and how building those bonds are always going to be strong memories and connections like that,”said Reddin.
The boys varsity basketball will be playing again in the district bracket on Mar 5. against timberland high school.
