Fighting Cancer One Game at a Time
Parents and students gather together in a movement to fight cancer at the 8th annual Coaches vs. Cancer – Paint it Pink basketball game on Friday, Jan. 24. Raising over $1000 in a miracle minute. Boys varsity took a hard fall to Holt with a final score of 60-52.
“It was a difficult loss because the past two years we have won that game, and we had so much support” Myles Estrada speaks of the teams emotions after the game. However, Estrada says they were excited about the money raised, “it’s always fun to play in that atmosphere with a lot of energy and everyone is there to support”
Although they weren’t content with the loss, the boys were happy to have raised such a large sum of money toward a good cause and hope to win the next annual Coaches vs. Cancer game.
