Heart and Hustle

The tensions were high as district rivals faced off in a passionate volleyball game, the team played with a fierce attitude and a determination to beat Francis Howell during the popular blackout themed game. On September 7th, the Spartans took a devastating loss to the Vikings with the score of 1-3. Junior Jordan Smith played a great game and explained how the loss affected her strategy for future games.

“The Howell loss affected me in that I can’t let the atmosphere of like the student section affect the way I play” Smith continued on saying, “[The loss] definitely made me mad and that I want to kick their butt on Wednesday, and I will mentally prepare myself better next time and just stay calm during the high pressure situations.”

The Spartans are excited for the next game against the Vikings, more ready than ever. September 27th, Central battles Howell once again at the rival court.
