The boys varsity basketball team faced off against Troy Buchanan High School on Feb. 10. Although it was a close game, the Spartans pulled through with a win of 70-60. This added another to their long list of wins as the Spartans current record is 18-3. They are ranked 26th in the state and 16th in St. Louis according to MaxPreps. For some of the players, this is one of the best teams they have been a part of, including senior Tyson Hackmann.
“It’s the best for not only the team but the school as well. I’ve seen the past decade, we’ve never really done something like this,” Hackmann said. “We got the win, that’s the main thing we always care about [but] we only won by 10 [points, and] played the best we could.”
The team’s next game is Feb. 20 at 7pm and will be held at home against Howell.
