Cheerleaders bring spirit to the Edward Jone’s Dome

The varsity cheerleaders are wrapping up their final preparations for the Edward Jones Dome game on Saturday, Sept.10 at the Edward Jones Stadium. The girls, along with senior Timothy Ryan, have been practicing and adding to the routine all week long and finally feel as though they are ready to enthuse the Spartan crowd.

“We’ve been hard at work for the past two weeks now, and I can’t wait to show the crowd our new stunts,” senior Jessica Moore said.

To prepare for this event, the cheerleaders have been practicing every day after school until 4:30 p.m. to perfect their new routine. In order to ‘spice up’ their performances this year, they even added in a new stunt called the ‘Pinwheel.’

“We’ve performed the pinwheel before in past pep assemblies, and it’s always been a crowd favorite so we threw that in there to put the Spartans on their feet,” Moore said.
