New coaches give high hopes for a new season

The FHC cheer teams have had some big changes recently. They have gotten an entirely new coaching staff this year, including head varsity coach Karrie Tumlenson. Sophomore Emily Salge feels that the new coaches have been good for the team.

“It’s good to have someone who has a background in competitive, because they really know what they are doing from experience,” said Salge. Salge also thinks it is nice that there are three different coaches, because they can jump from team to team, and all come together to coach the teams. The team has also been preparing for state coming up on September 14.

“We have been adding a lot of skill and difficulty to prepare for state,” said Salge. Emily feels that the team will really do good this year due to the positive changes and is looking forward to this season.
