After a narrow loss against Hickman, the Spartans rebounded against the Troy Trojans, dominating them with a 68-35 win on Dec. 5. During the game, the Spartans utilized effective defensive rebounding to score points, according to senior Emnai Habib, who notes that the team’s rebounding was a key factor in their victory.
“I think we’re a solid rebounding team. I think the guards need to put a little bit more effort and stop relying on the bigs,” Habib said, “The Troy game? Yeah, I think we both played hard, but ultimately, we’re the better team. Yeah, I think we like, shut them down.”
The varsity basketball team’s next game is on Friday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m.
