To celebrate the month of love, Epsilon Beta club members created “Blind Dates with Books” during their monthly social on Feb. 18. A “Blind Date with a Book” is a popular trend in which books are wrapped in paper to conceal the title and cover. Readers are then able to choose their next read based solely on the details, tropes, or themes written on the wrapping. Throughout the social, members and friends of the club selected novels of their choice to create the surprise experiences of. Public relations officer and member of Epsilon Beta, sophomore Lucas Ostermeyer, attended the social and helped members create their blind books.
“It helps me gain a general interest in what other people are reading. It’s really nice to see people shine through their reading choices,” said Ostermeyer.
The novels created at the social will be displayed in the learning commons. They will be available for students to check out and experience.
