The Spartan baseball team recently showcased its skills in a matchup against Francis Howell High. On May 6, the Spartans secured a victory, winning the game 5-1. The team displayed athleticism and efficient game technique, particularly in their strong base-stealing and effective hitting. Senior Drew Wyss mentions techniques about batting.
“Go up ready to swing,” Wyss said. “Don’t wait to find your pitch in the count, because a lot of times the first pitch that you get might be the best one.”
The baseball team’s next event is on May 19, at 7 pm, at Liberty to kick off the Class 6 District 4 tournament.
