The pink out girls varsity basketball game was playing with a cause. They played against Troy on Jan. 9 and lost 60-45, but this didn’t affect the players’ performance. They showed perseverance in many moments and worked hard no matter the circumstances. Junior Mikaela Bond explains how even though this was a hard game to play, she was still was grateful for the chance to play because she knew it was for breast cancer awareness.
“It was fun to play, for a good cause and we were really playing for that only…we just did what we could and just had fun doing it” Bond said.
The next girls varsity basketball game will be on Jan. 20 at 5:30 at Francis Howell Central High.
