In memory of a former FHC coach, the sixth annual Todd Bizzell Memorial Relays were held on April 3 with athletes competing in multiple track and field events. Former FHC track coach Todd Bizzell died of cancer on Thursday, July 12, 2018, and the meet continues in his honor. Participants competed in events such as hurdles, relays and throws while representing the Spartans on their home track. For many athletes, the meet also served as an opportunity to challenge themselves in new events and grow as competitors. Erin Getgood speaks about her time during the meet.
“I competed in the pentathlon for the first time, and that was really fun,â Getgood said. ââĶI usually do four or five events, but having everyone cheering me on in the 800 made it really rewarding.â
The Spartans next event is at Francis Howell High School at 3:30 pm on May 8.
