Sophomore Patrick Davie watches his coach as they give instructions to the team during a period break. He is focused completely on the coach’s lecture like they are the most important words to be heard, because to him they are. While attending a hockey academy as his full time schooling, he still makes time to attend every high school game he can. His hardwork and dedication to the sport earned him the title of Rookie of the Year while only being a freshman. Blocking out the world and his personal life, when Davie gets on the ice his only world is the game.

“I like being on the high school team because it gives me a chance to see people I used to go to school with,” Davie said. “Plus it allows me to kind of relax from my other intense hockey team.”

Davie continues to balance his club and school teams, while attending a high intensity training academy with ease. He has hockey almost every day while still maintaining his daily schedule, and always staying in his element.
